Mike Brown will provide management oversight, guidance and leadership for the diving group to include the necessary safety, procedures, processes, training, life support equipment and tools required to execute all project underwater tasks efficiently and incident free. Additionally, he will contribute as part of the Senior Management Team to compel all aspects of Onyx’s team to consistently achieve Operational Excellence throughout the Company in all facets of its Projects and efforts.
Mike, a US Navy veteran, has over 38 years of experience in the Commercial Diving Industry related to servicing the requirements of the subsea Oil & Gas Industry in the Gulf of Mexico and Internationally. He began his career as a diver on small shallow water pipelay barges around the Gulf Coast and worked his way from the bottom up diving deep Saturation projects logging thousands of hours as a diver, and then on to senior management in an operational role at large multinational offshore contractors. He is an advocate of Commercial Diver safety, and served on the Board of Directors for the Association of Diving Contractors International (ADCI) for over 20 years which included 4 years as President and his personal participation rewriting the Consensus Standards for Commercial Diving. In addition, he currently serves as the representative for Commercial Diving on the Outer Continental Shelf as a member of the US Coast Guard/Homeland Security’s National Offshore Safety Advisory Committee (NOSAC).Back to Our Team
